An extended work from my previous work 마음의 터, 맴도는 마음 tells the state of mind that the hovering around the empty space becomes a new site to hover. Moving text and cropped pictures are collaged on the webpage.When a visitor/viewer scrolls down and clicks the screen, each characters composing the text moves to form a round shape that hovers, embodying the hovering mind.The collaged photos are part of my previous collaborated work A Stranger . The cut-off photos and interactive text are designed to be a context to each other, leading to communicate to the visitor/viewer in different ways.
맴도는 마음은 마음의 터 에서 연장된 작업으로, 터를 잃은 빈 자리가 새로운 터가 되어 그 주변을 맴돌게 되는 마음을 담았다. 움직이는 텍스트와 잘린 사진들이 웹페이지에 콜라주되어 있다.방문자가 스크롤을 내리며 화면을 클릭하면 텍스트를 구성하던 낱개의 글자들이 하나하나 움직여 동그란 원을 만든다. 인터랙티브하게 움직이는 텍스트는 맴돌고 부유하는 마음을 형상화한다.이전 협업작 이방인 사진들에서 맴도는 마음을 연기하는 작가의 모습을 잘라내 콜라주했다. 잘린 사진들과 인터랙티브 텍스트는 상호 텍스트적 맥락이 되어 정보 전달적으로, 정서적으로 관객과 연결되고자 한다.

Cori thinks photogtaphy in digital era deals with reality different from before. Editting is the nature, raw image seems unnatural. Even for the photos aiming to capture the authentic reality, editting is needed to make viewers grasp the reality. In the midst of her interest in this media environment, the artist makes photo with her research about seeing and relationship.
정승은은 디지털 시대의 사진이 과거와는 다른 리얼리티를 담고 있다고 생각한다. 사람들은 포토샵이 들어간 사진이야말로 자신을 제대로 담아냈다고 생각하며, 리얼리티를 보여주는 사진에서도 리얼리티가 잘 보이게 하기 위한 보정이 요구된다. 이러한 매체적 환경에 대한 관심 속에서 정승은은 보이는 그대로를 포착하기보다 시선과 관계맺음에 대해 탐구하며 만들어가는 사진(making photo)을 한다.
